About my race...

It wasn't so bad considering how slow I am with this mod and how hard the track was, BUT... my biggest enemy were those REALLY crazy graphical lags!!..

My graphics are all set to MED now and I used to play with all on FULL before and NEVER had lags like that... I play at the Brazilian Server with no lags at all and then I can only think it's mod, track or server related... - it's also nothing with my connection, since my ping was normal and before the race I did all possible speed tests...

Anyway...
I got very small lags ALL of the time and they were random throughout the laps, so I never knew when they were going to hit me and with the screen 'freezing' for a split second from time to time it's just impossible to have the most precise driving, especially at a track and at certain moments of the lap/race where you just CAN'T make mistakes, which makes it all extra tense to me... Also pretty annoying, but... I managed to survive and not make any absurd mistakes and I had a relatively clean race considering all of that shit EXCEPT for the craziest shit evah...

When I left the pits after my first stop, opening lap 12, the game started to lag like crazy and all the cars and even my huds were disappearing and coming back from my screen and I was like WTF?!.. And then right after the bridge (start of S2), it all froze and kinda 'shut down', including the car and ANY control I had over it!!!
My car didn't brake after the bridge and was going straight to the wall and I couldn't brake or turn or anything, because the car just wasn't responding at all (I felt like Nico - LOL), but 'magically' and 'miraculously', the control went back only a few inches before I hit the wall and I was able to brake and turn the car back to track, although that little adventure surely costed me more than 5 secs... Not sure if it would have a big difference at the end, but I lost the chance to fight against Arek and Alex at the last laps because of that, so.. I could've fought for or even been 4th place, but...

With all of that shit and 'challenges', starting P13 and finishing in P6 was good enough!

FINALLY the 3 McLarens scored points in a same race - VERY WELL DONE, BOYS!!!

And congrats Joe for a GREAT 2nd place!!!

Also congrats Little Timmy for the win (SQN)!!!

It's ok Alex. I saw your replay and now I know it was just a lag incident and you didn't do any crazy dive into me as I saw it from my perspective. I'm sending my replay for you to see why I complained about that.


I expected a disaster but it turned out the race was just great for me. The start was pretty clean. I tried to keep the outside though the first curve but realised I couldn't make it so I had to use a litte bit of the runoff area and rejoined without losing any place. Then I had a nice duel with Wes but he didn't keep the pressure having such a star behind his back and spun in a harpin

I made a few places and then stopped on Sven to spend rest of the race with him. We had a very nice and tough fight passing each other many times. He seemed to be a litte faster overall (especially during my stint on meds - I couldn't find myself on that compound at all, struggling as hell for most of the time), but I had a better top speed so he had big difficulties to pass me and pull away.

At certain point due to Adrian's and Lau's problems I was even in 3rd. Still with Sven on my back. At the end I noticed Adrian and Tony were getting closer to us. Every time I defended my place of Sven I tried to slow him down a little so they could catch us and the plan was to end up having 3 red cars in front of him but it didn't work out.  Tony got lost at some point and then I made a mistake letting both Sven and Adrian go. Adrian didn't have to spend much time to pass him but Sven catched up using his slip stream and this, in turn, made me have difficulties to overtake him  But finally I did it and Adrian wasn't needed anymore 

After that Sven lost his brakes and almost took me out of the race. I survived although I lost a lot of time and Alex got right behind and then passed me so I finished only in 5th but if somone offered me such a place beofore the race I would've taken it in the dark

Started p2, but was p3 with Tony right on my ass after the first few corners. Adrian and Lau were on mediums though (I was on softs), and I was able to get past and break clear. They had some issues together and then the only challenge was Joe.

We matched each other's pace pretty much for the whole race, on the same strategy. Then after our 3rd stop, we came out of the pits 1 second apart. Joe was on soft but I went medium because it was 8 laps to go.

I expected him to pass me easily, but I guess he was saving the tyres. We had a good fight for the lead then wheel to wheel, and I managed to win by 0.037 seconds or something

Great racing, thanks to Joe, and I'm very happy to have won 3 in a row for the first time in my career.

Yes, im sorry, i knew my brakes would fail. It was definetly not my fault that i spun you i braked in the right time but my brakes were gone im lucky that i could finish the race as 7th.

So frustrated after having another race without luck , at 1st , a terrible quali , 7 tenths slower than my pb set a few hours before quali. Lost a place to Tony after T1 , then started to drive easy and save tyres, however , on my mirrors i had Sven and Areko behind my tail and had a hard time since both of them had higher topspeed than me , made a few mistakes and had to let them go after their late braking on the hair. On lap 4 after the bridge , Sven went on the green part and lost speed and i couldnt avoided the suddenly braking Areko and spun my car and hit the wall hard and lost front wing , and after my unexpected pit stop i surprisingly found out that my crew didnt add any fuel to my car ( im guessing they were surprised too ) which means i'll have to pit just 4 laps later again , so my strategy had to remain the same as all 3 stoppers only difference was i lost more than 20 sec of time .

After pushing hard to catch up guys ahead each stint and after chasing down Arek/Sven pair under 4 sec in the final laps, thanks to Sven's brake i got passed both Sven and Areko in the end luckily.

Really frustrated knowing that i had good pace and it could have been a double podiums for Mclaren 1st time this season , but great news is that finally 3 Mclarens scored points in one same race! and congrats to Tom , Joe really close gap in the end for the win and Adrian
