SRD S2 - Tracks Suggestions (CLOSED)

We're gonna have another 10 races calendar, so we need 10 tracks for the SRD Season 2.

We're gonna pick/vote for the tracks avaliable on the long list below, which has all of the tracks used on all 9 rFR GP Series seasons and also on SRD Season 1 and the Porsche Series Season 1, plus 3 new tracks that were suggested in previous seasons, but never used so far in any of the series - which give us a total of 61 tracks to pick from!

BUT... I will let you guys make your own suggestions too, so we can add these suggestions to this long list! They will be included on the 'EXTRA' section.

RULES:

- I will accept track suggestions only until SUNDAY, DECEMBER 6th of 2015 (until the beginning of the rFR GP Series race, at RedBull Ring - I will NOT accept suggestions after this deadline).

- I will only accpet a suggestion and add it to the list if you guys also provide a DOWNLOAD LINK to the track(s) you're suggesting (tracks without a download link will NOT be added to the list).

- Suggest tracks that you think will 'fit the mod' Peugeot 207 (if you haven't tested the mod yet.. go and do it!!.. NOW!!)..

- Make SURE your suggestion is NOT on the list (do NOT suggest a track (or a version, or a layout) that is already on the list - read/check it carefully!!)..

HOW IT'S GONNA WORK:

On sunday, I'll release a new list (with all the new suggestions added) and we're gonna select 10 (ten) tracks out of all the ones avaliable - I will give more details about how exactly it's gonna work on sunday, when I create the new topic for the actual picking/voting.

1° Magnificent Park (Short).  I liked this track, both the scenario and the track for racing itself and also because it would be a new track for the league.

2° Cadwell.  Another good one that could fit our mod considering the kind of driving we'll have with it.

4° Hunwel Park. Despite this is a fantasy one I think it would be cool to race here especially because the circuit imo is fun to drive with a short lap

BTW, I had that Magnificent Park track for ages (since 2009 - and still do) and I also love that track (although if you get to the gravel, it's game over - car just won't move) and I like the long layout the most, but with this Peugeot mod, each lap would take almost 3 mins, I think.. (and yes, I know you suggested the short layout.. I was just saying the long one is great - but also.. long.. obviously.. )

Yea long one is very cool ;D but I also thought that lap would last ages :p however if there is no problem with league and drivers for the lap lenght, then I would go for long one. Anyway I keep with short one for more secure ;D

What about coming back to our roots and having 10 rfactor standard tracks? In my opinion that would be cool and many drivers would like it!

My proposal is:
1. Mills Metropark
2. Toban Raceway Park
3. Essington Park
4. Autodromo Nazionale della Brianza
5. Northamptonshire (old BTCC layout)
6. Orchard Lake Speedway
7. Barcelona
8. Sardian Heights 250
9. Neuerburg (short)
10. Lienz Festival der Geschwindigkeit (what a name!  ) any layout but I would put the longest one and make it double points. Perfect place to end the season and have a beer together after that

10 iconic tracks that make every rfactor player have chills on their back when hearing those names.  Thx for considering

And one more thing I would like to suggest is having two short races instead of one long 45min race which would be extremely boring with such a slow mod especially if there was just a few drivers in the race which is very likely considering the last season

Just don't forget this topic is for people to suggest NEW tracks that are NOT on the list above - so I will add them to the list and THEN create a new topic, with an even bigger list of tracks and THEN each one of you can give me your '10 tracks list' - so we can 'count' the ones that were mentioned the most and the top 10 mentioned tracks will be the ones on the calendar - and in case of a tie, we may have a 72 hours poll to select them...

I was wondering if we can have night races?

Arek suggested to use default rF tracks, wich I think it's great. Maybe we can use then as night races.

It will be a totally new and fun experience. We can think about a day-night change during the race too (like Abu Dhabi)   .

That might be possible if I set the Time Scale to a higher value, BUT... we gotta consider:

- Our races will last only 25 mins (as it seems, most people want the 'B' option)..

- Not all tracks have night ilumination (and the cars headlights are NOT enough to light the road properly)..

- Lights going on may cause lag on some weak PCs..

But we'll see!
After we define the 10 tracks (actual voting with the full list of tracks begins tomorrow) and we have the official calendar, I'll check the tracks for the possibility of night races - but I can't promise anything, guys..

- We can do the first race at daytime, and the another one at night time.
- Toban, for example, has a good ilumination but it has some 'dark spots'. I think the Pegeout headlights distance is enough to race, plus it's a slow car.
- The biggest problem I think it's the lag. Here, on my PC, i have 10 less FPS when practing at night, I think most people will experience lag issues, but if don't, I don't think its a bad idea.....

We will only have night races (or day-to-night races) on tracks that are properly iluminated AND don't cause lags to anyone.

Tracks with 'dark spots' are not good enough (just like depending only on the car headlights)..

I don't want dangerous races, or the SRD Series to have an 'arcade season'.. - focus, people (don't begin to ask for 'weird stuf' - I won't do it - sorry).
