Well, another solution to mute the 'shit-outdated-lady' is to go to the tool's directory within your rf-folder and then just delete those two sound-files.

For the last two races I even had the dear lady talking, when I had actually muted her at the Windows-soundoptions. So awkwardly she kept on unmuting herself again and again. I even took the risk to Alt+Tab out of the game during Quali and Warmup ... and was lucky that rF didn't crash.

But now she's silent

The solution is to update the program properly, not to delete sound files or mute sounds.

Well, you're right ... if the 'proper solution' works for everyone. It didn't work in my case, although I downloaded the updated client, reinstalled it completely and put in the .ddl and the .ini by hand - instead of just updating the tool via its own update-button. I just had to figure out sth else and wanted to make SURE, that the voice doesn't appear during the race. As you'll agree with me, it can be quite distracting to have this 'plugins outdated'-shit every 2 minutes during the race, no?

The solution I suggested isn't the recommended one. You should only do this if the bug still occurs after properly updating your STR.

But I had that 'glitch' before as well, even updating everything properly - so it's good to have an alternative IF something goes wrong - thanks Andy for the tip!

Still what Alaster said is the actual thing to do and I hope everyone updated the anti-cheater properly (and that no one gets the glitch as well)!
