Julio Ronaldi went wide, then he sudenly managed to turn so much to inside and hit him

We were both side by side for the most part of the corner.
My car keeps turning in (on the inside), getting closer to the kerb (not going wide) and Julio closes in (from the outside) a little bit too much, until he touches me and spins..

He has usually pretty high ping, although today it looked normal (higher than other drivers, but still on an acceptable range), so I don't know how much lag had influence in this incident.
