Season X mod is now available on SimSync!

How to use SimSync



Please install on a NEW install to avoid issues! If you install over Season 9 you will receive many errors.


You must download BOTH the MOD and choose ONE pack of SKINs...


If you don't download both you will get errors and will not be able to join the server.

Skins:
High quality skins - 1.75 GB
Normal quality skins - 500 mb

I highly recommend the high quality skins if you have the HDD space, you can see the quality difference below.

should it be ok if i delete all the S9 related files or folders and then run simsync install the pre season mod?

if you delete the FSONE09 folder from the Vehicles folder then it should be ok

but a new install is always best IMO

Can you give me a download to the original FSone09 mod, that has all the 2009 teams, drivers and cars?

I did a fresh install of rFactor and downloaded the mod and the Normal skin pack through SimSync. I am happy to report that I was able to log on to the server with no mismatch.

PS. I'm still not able to post links, even if it's quote, pretty unusual to me xD

You guys can still play against the AIs on the custom SX mod..

Just make sure to do NOT install both mods (our custom SX one and the Original one) on the same rFactor install..

And the forum automatically allows the new members to post links, quotes and everything after 7 (seven) days of registration, I think - don't worry!

I tried to do this, I ended up with AI parking the bus on nearly every corner, crashing into me and being slower by 5 seconds on 100% setting... Happens without properly made talent files as I noticed with one other mod where it also happened, but was even worse.

And yes it does, but it's not my second week here yet xD

About AI - they do still work but maybe not in season mode where the game will look for talent files (the customised teams we have put in won't have any specified talent file).

They work, of course, but it feels like racing whole field of very slow Takuma Satos, which is... Theoretically predictable, but in the end you never know in which corner they will strike

Please Sync the mod AND 1 skin pack so you can access the server!

If you already made a fresh install for the pre season version, then you won't need to make another new install.

for somereason there is an error in my game when i connect to server. It says server doesent recognize car but I already updated to sim sync like 5 times. I already reinstalled rfactor once dont want to do it again. Please and thank you for the help

Do you have more than 1 rFactor install?

And if so, are you sure you're joining the server with the install that has our mod in it?

(sorry if it's a dumb question or possibility, but sometimes it's something pretty simple that we didn't notice and the problem is super easy to fix.. )

I have more than one rfactor and yes its the one with your mod installed

Do you have ONLY our mod in this install?

And if you have other mods on that same install, are you sure you have the mod 'loaded' before you try to join our server?

And with which car/team are you trying to join?

I can only think of 2 possibilities:

- You're trying to join with a car that's not on the mod (you need to be sure you downloaded everything you need, properly - all the mod and car skins files)..

- You're trying to join our server with a different mod..

On both cases, you would get the error message you're getting.

I don't know why you're getting it if it's for another reason.. =/

I think that's because you're trying to join with the Pace Car...

You need to BUY/SELECT/OWN one of the FORMULA ONE cars on the mod.. and THEN try to join the server again - should solve the problem!

This means you have missing or corrupted files.

You probably didn't download all the files you need (and/or you must download them again)...

You need to download the MOD and ALSO ONE (1) of the SKIN PACKS (Normal OR High resolution).

You need to have these 2 things tickled on SimSync (Mod + 1 Skin Pack)

Do ONE of the options below:

well i donloaded everything. maybe that why. but i had the same issue when i didnt select the high textures

The best thing to do is...

Re-install rFactor.. a 100% fresh/clean install.

Then redownload the TWO things I showed you above - only ONE of the two options...
(also don't forget to tick the rF_Scan and Tracks boxes)

And then you should be good to go.

Your current install is probably all messed up now, after all of these tries and downloads and files ovewritten and etc... So, the best is to start fresh, as I suggested right above - it's the only way to guarantee it's all 'clean'..

yeah thats what i did and im in now. Now i just have to see who isnt racing today so i can reserve for them
