Mexico GP - Hermanos Rodríguez (Sunday, september 16th, 2012) – Race Report, by Sexy Brigadeiro & pictures by Arek
For ALL the pointers and Championship standings, just take a look below!!!
The truth is that, once again, I don't have much to say about this GP - for personal and obvious reasons.
No need to bla bla bla about all of the shit Michal did to me, Grisu, Sven and even Black... Just two VERY important things:
- For those who don't know, Michal got BANNED from the League - THAT'S what the admins. will do for actions like those, so... please, think twice before acting like idiots in here again...
- I apologize to everyone (especially to Arek) for chatting during the race after I got hit by Michal. I was mad and I actualy wanted to kick/ban him from the server and restart the race, but I held myself not to do that, but still I couldn't hold myself from not saying anything... So, I'm sorry for doing that. I know it's against the rules and it was wrong, no matter how 'unfair' the race was for me. As an admin. I must set a good example to the other drivers and I failed and for that I apologize. I WILL get a penalty (OBVIOUSLY) and I'm ok with that. Still I'm sorry and it won't happen again... also because we already banned Michal... HA!
About the race itself...
It was a very good 'weekend' to soutie! He is definitely 'back' to the League now. He got the pole and also the victory. 26 points in his pocket - just couldn't be better!
Adrian S Shole, the current Championship leader also had a great race. Starting in the very back of the grid, finishing in 2nd place and keeping a comfortable lead on the championship just couldn't be better either!
Also a special congrats to Joe McLaggen, getting a very nice podium at his home GP - tacos & tequila all night long to celebrate - AYE, CARAMBA!
And, once again, for more details, just check Arek's great pictures, because as some people say: images tell more than a thousand words...'Checkered flag is out and so am I...'
FULL RESULTS
Lap 1 - Start of The Mexican GP, Soutie and Raikko at first row.
Lap 1 - Grisu fell asleep when the lights came off but Luft showed a great reflex.
Lap 1 - Sexy chose the wrong way! What a noob!
Lap 1 - Ok, ok it wasn't his fault, Michal sent him off the track ending his race...
Lap 1 - Sven leaves the first turn as 1st.
Lap 1 - Grisu gets hit by Deadfish and went wide dropping down to the penultimate place. At first plan Adrian S Shole, who started from 16th place in the grid, earned 5 places during the start!
Lap 1 - Arek trying to save himself seen from Joe's car right before his spin on the curb which costed him a drop to the last place.
Lap 1 - Alex Hill's neck (5th) probbaly couldn't endure the huge g-force at Peraltada and went wide losing his front wing
Lap 2 - Otti (4th) makes a mistake on the curb and crashes his front wing.
Lap 4 - Grisu goes up very quick passing respectively his teammate Jackblack, Backmarker, Arnoldunhu and Michal.
Lap 4 - Nice fight between top 3 (Sven and behind Raikko vs Soutie battling for the 2nd place).
Lap 4 - Arek passes Backmarker at a very hard place in battle for 12th. Driving side by side through Peraltada they caused lack of air for Jackblack who lost grip, catched some grass and spun
Lap 5 - Meanwhile Arnie passes Michal by the outside and takes the 10th place.
Lap 6 - Soutie tries to pass Raikko but a moment of misunderstanding could't cost him a lot. After that Raikko let him go.
Lap 6 - A while later Adrian, who was already in 7th place, catched Joe, who was stuck behind Denis (5th) in 6th place.
Lap 7 - Joe still tries to pass Denis but the 'fighter' from Belarus was able to keep his place 5th place - THIS IS BELARUUUUUUUUSSS!!!
Lap 8 - Adrian needed only one atempt to do the same to Joe as Joe could't do to with Denis ealier.
Lap 9 - Soutie easily passes Sven and takes the lead.
Lap 9 - A moment later Adrian passes Denis and is up to 5th.
Lap 10 - A bad time for Joe who loses another position, this time for Blackfox who takes the 7th place...
Lap 10 - But as quickly as he got it, he makes a mistake and Joe is back in 7th! Grisu gets closer...
Lap 10 - Raikko decided to pit first but...
Lap 10 - Denis (6th) comes to the pits. Raikko was still entertaining the crowd
Lap 11 - Denis came out close to Deadfish and they had a nice battle!
Lap 11 - Sven (2nd) and Luft (3rd after Raikko's wall adventure) come to the pits.
Lap 12 - Current top 3, Soutie, Adrian S Shole and Grisu in the pits. Soutie keeps the lead and Adrian comes out behind Sven, in 3rd place.
Lap 12 - Blackfox (11th), Alex Hill (12th) and Raikko (13th).
Lap 15 - Michal (7th) makes a dirty move on Grisu ending his race, no comments...
Lap 15 - Black (10th) gets a puncture from some shit laying on the track after colision between Michal and Grisu, losing his chances for a good place...
Lap 15 - Joe McLaggen stuck again... this time, behind Luft_inspektor (4th)
Lap 15 - Arnoldunhu loses his place to Alex Hill (battle for 11th)
Lap 18 - Quick team orders and Raikko jumped over Michal to 8th place!
Lap 22 - Sven (2nd) comes to the pits for his second stop, greeting friends from control tower!
Lap 22 - Joe (5th) does the same a while later
Lap 22 - Arnie is having some troble next to the pit entrance...
Lap 23 - Top 3: Soutie, Adrian & Luft in the pits + Arnie (12th)
Lap 25 - Joe still struggles trying to pass Luft (5th).
Lap 25 - Raikko (4th), followed by Luft (5th) and Joe (6th).
Lap 28 - Luft tries hard to keep his 5th place against Joe, 'El Muchacho Suave' McLaggen...
Lap 30 - Raikko made his pit stop and found himself behind Arek and Denis, in 8th place.
Lap 31 - Another nasty move by Michal, who hits Sven (on purpose) causing a loss of his front wing and his 2nd place...
Lap 31 - Meanwhile, raikkO passed Arek and tried to do the same to Denis... He ended up sending him off of the track, but then gave the position back - nice gentleman move! Arek, who had nothing to do with that, just took his chance and passed them both - noobs are also smart-asses!...
Lap 31 - At the end of the lap, we had a great overtake by raikkO during the battle for 7th place! He made a good use of his fresh tyres passing Denis again, at Peraltada!
Lap 31 - Luft found himself in a bad place behind Sven who was trying to get to the pits to change his broken front wing. There was some contact and Joe takes his chance to pass both of them, taking the 3rd place, making the fans happy, who screamed 'ARRIBA, MUCHACHO - ANDALE, ANDALE, ANDALE!!!'
Lap 32 - Luft wanted 'instant revenge', but only got 'ineffective revenge'...
Lap 33 - Arek's tyres were almost dead so raikkO didn't have much trouble to overtake him (also because he is a noob - just sayin'...) and Romania got the 5th place!
Lap 33 - Right after that Arek has to come to the pits for the 3rd time and change his tyres 2 laps before the end of the race - pretty much like in season 1... - 'Once a noob...'
Lap 34 - He came out behind Sven in 9th place trying to pass him!
Lap 34 - Denis (6th) gets an engine failure on the penultimate lap - what a lucky guy, huh?! He is overtaken by Alex 'China Boy' Hill! - Ni hao!
Lap 35 - Soutie wins!!!
Lap 35 - Aussie Kangaroo jumps over the finish line as 2nd
Lap 35 - Joe Mclaggen, the favourite of local fans, takes the 3rd place in his home GP - nice!!!
