Potentially out - my rFactor is broken!

I decided to have my PC reformatted, and now my wheel responds completely differently to before. My normal lock setting of 12.0 degrees feels like 20.0 degrees, and the steering inputs don't seem linear (steers slower with more lock).

Normally I'd just get someone else to fix it, but there are only a few more days until the race!

Can any one help? (I'm bad with computers!) Smile

i don't exactly know what you mean but could it be that it changed the steering wheel range (ingame or in reallife)

And i will update the first video with my second video now, where i inputed some motec data into the onboard lap.
One more quest could i make a thread which i call 2012 pre laps or something like that,
and than i make threads like melbourne round 1, <-- malaysia round 2, and ofcourse always a onboard lap lol, don't know how to say it clearly.

Are you sure you've installed your wheel correctly (in Windows)? Hope you saved your user data from rFactor on the disc D before doing format. That's how I did it a few days before. The I just installed again rFactor, drivers for the wheel and then I put "User Data" folder back to the game. And I received all my setups back. Did you change anything from the wheel setup in the game like the speed sensivity, deadzone, axis or this kind of stuff? If so you have to change it again to have them exaclty the same as you had in the past.
I would like to recomend to install real feel plugin and set your wheel in windows following that tutorial of feal feel plugin.

Hope you can get it fixed, Adrian.
And IF you're out, pliss, let us know a.s.a.p., so we can contact the next reserve drivers on the list to take your place in this race.
I wish you luck and hope you race with us - it's your home race and we need someone to give soutie a hard time in track too!
Razz

And Grisu, you have your corner.
Put your videos there.
'Everyone' has their own corners, so that's the place for us to put our own videos.

yes brigadeiro, but i wanted to say, that i will always make for us a opening track lap, which means you will see on every track a onboard lap from myself. <-- I will do that from round 1 - 18 so wouldn't it be better if someone can make a thread, where i can also creat another thread with the name melbourne round 1, than
second thread after the melbourne race in the same thread and i call it Suzuka round 2 or whatever. Very Happy
so everyone can find the videos easy <- ;D
do you know what i mean? if you think we don't need that i will post the vids into my corner Smile

Not necessary.

I make onboard practice laps of myself since season 1 (for each track) and I never created a topic just for that.
Other drivers recorded practice hotlaps (onboard) of themselves too and all of them/us put these videos in our own corners.

So, no need to create a new thread/topic just for the same thing.
You have your corner, for your videos and other things you want to post about yourself. I have mine, Arek has his, Tom has his and etc... that's where each one of us have been posting the videos of our laps.

I understand what you want(ed) to do, but all I'm saying you still can do it on your corner and there's no need to create a new one, to post the same thing...
I hope you understand.

Still, if you want to create ANY topic in the forum, you're free to do it, of course.
I won't delete your topics or posts - and I believe the other admins won't do it either - so, don't worry.
All I'm saying is that I think it's unnecessary to create a 'new' topic for the same content. Especially if you can have it all on your corner, just like everybody else is doing.
Don't get mad at me, Biebs!

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Grisu was right, it's a problem with the 'range'. It's annoying but I can still drive - just. I'd be lucky to finish the race. Very Happy

So yeah, I'm in.

you can edit the range if it's ingame go under rfactor/userdata/yourname/controller and search this
Steering Wheel Range="334" check it with your wheel range and change it to the same value
