IMPORTANT info:

- This patch will be INCLUDED on the League Patch, which will now be called 'rFactor Racers League Patch 3.0'
- Each driver MUST pick the right car on the vehicle menu (in game) in order to see/wear your own helmets - and some drivers must also pick the right SKIN (also on the vehicle menu, on the SKINS tab), so the helmet will work properly!

Here's a list of all the drivers, their helmets, the car and the skins they must pick for everything to work fine - and also a chance for all of us to take a closer look and get familiar with each other's final versions of the helmets:

VERY IMPORTANT!!!

If any of you guys experience something weird about the setups - like not being able to load them in the game (setup folder being empty in the game), don't freat out!!!

- Open Windows Explorer.
- Go to the folder '...\UserData\[YOUR DRIVER NAME]\Settings\F1Rft2011_Melbourne
- Open your setup file(s) on Notepad.
- Edit the 3rd line, which is the car/vehicle you drive

For example:

In my case, I drive the 2nd McLaren (Kova's), so the 3rd line is this to me:

//VEH=GAMEDATA\VEHICLES\FSONE09\2009\EQUIPOS\VODAFONEMCLAREN\VODAFONEMCLAREN_02.VEH

But if I changed my car to the 1st McLaren (Hamilton), I'd have to change that 3rd line to:

//VEH=GAMEDATA\VEHICLES\FSONE09\2009\EQUIPOS\VODAFONEMCLAREN\VODAFONEMCLAREN_01.VEH

...

This may happen to AREK and ARNIE (it happened to raikkO too), because they were using different cars from the ones where their helmets are now.
(so, it will also happen to anyone who were driving a different car before the patch)

In first 6 are 3 yellow helmets good job guys!!

Awesome, how do you make them?

Basically...

We have to use a program that converts the helmet files from the game - in format .dds - into an image format that we can open and edit on Photoshop - like .psd, or .png, for example.

Then we 'paint' them on Photoshop - including some 'basic to advanced Photoshop skills' here and there and then we finally convert them back to .dds format and replace the files from the game with the ones we edited.

Obviously, it's a little bit more complicated than this, but I just told you BASICALLY how it works.
The program that converts the .dds files into image files and vice versa is called DDS Converter.
